Are there examples of labels ?
Yes, you can find examples of labels on this page: Examples of labels
The search for samples or containers is very slow
The query used to search for samples is complex and involves many tables. In some cases, Postgresql prepares his execution poorly, which can then take a lot of time (several tens of times the normal time).
To solve the problem, it is necessary to “clean” the database, by asking a system administrator:
- to log in as root in the server hosting the database;
- Then run the following commands:
su - postgres vacuumdb -d "collec" --analyze
This command can also be integrated into the backup script (see Configuring the database).
Scanning a 1D barcode returns spurious characters
With a DataLogic QBT2430 handheld, the scan of some 1D codes returns spurious characters before the encoded number, for example ]1C.
The problem occurs with codes encoded in EAN128: prefer codes in CODE 128, which do not have this problem, if you decide to create 1D codes with specialized software.
Scanning a barcode open the browser download page
With a DataLogic QBT2430 handheld, if it is not correctly configured, the browser download window opens after each barcode reading. In practice, the code Ctrl + J is sent after each code.
To avoid this malfunction, you need to configure the handheld by scanning the USB keyboard code with alternative key coding (peruse the configuration manual).
How to configure the Datalogic QBT2430 handheld ?
This document, provided by a reseller (company Ametis thierry.istin <at> ametis.eu) allows you to reset the handshower and configure it quickly :

Label printing with Zebra printer drools, QR codes become unreadable
It can happen that the QR codes are poorly printed : the ink is bleeding, and the QR codes are no longer readable by a handheld. To correct this malfunction, reduce the print speed. To do this, modify the following settings in the printer configuration page (Windows and Linux screenshots) :
